Zero Kelvin: -273.15°C, nothing moves, everything stands still. From somewhere, driving beats penetrate the ear and make frozen legs bob along again. From another direction, melodic synth sounds fly in and force the frozen bodies to dance, and above all, the cutting breeze of crystal-clear singing blows, freezing and warming the heart as if in a game. A blizzard called Refrain blasts the last ice from the surface and stamps life back into the dead planet's body!
And in the middle, the three electric masters from the Eisfabrik - Dr Snow, The Frost, Celsius.
This picture arises in the inner eye while listening to the now 4th album of the Eisfabrikanten. Framed by -Sein erstes Lied" and -Sein letztes Lied", the future-pop pioneers deliver a record with a total of 13 songs that continues the consistent development of the last albums and gives you goosebumps while listening and dancing - and not because it is freezing cold!
Besides the first and the last song, one song in particular stands out as one of the few German-language songs on the mostly English album - -Schneemann"" shines with just the right amount of simplicity where you want to lose yourself and complexity where it urgently needs to be heard. It shows, representative for the rest of the album, that the musicians of the Eisfabrik know exactly what they are doing and deliver a thematic as well as musical masterpiece with -Null Kelvin"".
